FAQS | WHEN CHOOSING YOUR INDIAN WEDDING CEREMONY MUSIC SUPPLIER

You’ve started to plan your wedding and now you’re considering wedding music for your Hindu ceremony, no doubt you will have lots of questions.

So here are some of the most frequently asked questions we get about wedding music around the mandap ceremony.

What makes Shiv Gopal Music so unique?

With our passion and dedication for Hindu ceremonies, we absolutely love to create uniquely experiences of your wedding ceremony for you and your guests.  We are constantly in the recording studios creating unique music solely for the ceremony. We work extremely closely with the Hindu Priest to ensure the guests are fully engaged and feel that they are taking part in the ceremony and not just sitting and listening in silence.

We have heard about you but are not sure what you exactly do or offer?

If you have not heard our style or concept at a wedding, then we encourage you to have an initial face to face meeting at our studio office in Kenton (London). We go through what we do and demonstrate how this is integrated into the ceremony alongside the priest. This is also our opportunity to understand you better and get an overall feel of your wedding day plans.

We are clueless on Indian music, can you help?

In today’s modern age with a wide genre of music tastes, we fully understand and appreciate you may not be into Indian music, this is where we help and step in to guide you when we have our meeting.

How do you finalise my entrance music and ideas that you have for the music?

We usually have a face-to-face meeting at our studio office in Kenton (London) where we go through various songs and ideas for your entrance and what sort of music you would like incorporated. If your based quite far away, we also offer video calls to discuss this.

What’s the difference between a silent and traditional Hindu wedding ceremony.

A tradition ceremony is where the priest conducts the ceremony and is generally only addressing the couple and parents without a microphone. The guests are observing the wedding and socialising. The silent wedding was labelled as the opposite to this where the priest has a microphone, and the guests are all watching and listening to the ceremony in “silence” and not socialising.

We are unsure which Hindu priest to go for, can you assist us in this process.

Yes, having had years of experience with so many, we can assist and guide you on the priests we work regularly with.

We want a priest who speaks English to us and our guests.

The priests we work closely with speak fluent English and can all speak in Gujarati, Hindi and English so translations and explanations are very easily understood by all.

Do you perform at Mendhi Parties & Receptions?

We only specialise in music for the Hindu ceremony, our entire collection and experience is around this. We would strongly suggest hiring a professional reception DJ who has the right experience and knowledge for these events.
